This was going to be a stellar day, no?
I jumped some rope listening to Moby this morning and practiced my kegals so I wouldn’t pee my pants (all those who have gone thru childbirth know what I am talking about); I did a bit of Yoga; I drank coffee from my favorite mug and listened to birds cuddled in a blanket outside; I prayed and journaled a bit; I talked to my Man in Moselely and told him how much I love him…all this before my Lucca even woke up! Then just one little less than positive email got the best of me, and began to set my day on a different course. I became a grouch even though it was really off to a good start.
On the way to work I knew I had to snap out of it, today was an important day, it is Tuesday August 19th, 2008! That must mean something huge to lots of folks out there– Like those whose birthday it is, or 50th wedding anniversary, or those who are welcoming the arrival of their first child, or those whose debts have been wiped clean, or have recieved a surprise million dollar inheritance ! Yes today is a greeeat day, and I needed to start appreciating.
Here are some awesome things going on that give me plenty of reason to ignore the weather and shout out LIFE IS GOOD!
- iHeartSingleParents social network just surpassed 1000 members!
- My son is a rockstar. He knows Twinkle Twinkle Little Star like its nobody’s business.
- We have a meeting with Entercom today to talk to them about them becoming media partners for iHeart Single Parent LIVE events across the country!
- The family editor at SingleMindedWomen.com said my love life is in inspiration! Makes me blush and so proud of what my Man in Moseley and I share, even across oceans.
- My best friend and co-creator of iHeartSingleParents.com, Clare Bean, braved sharing her story on becoming a single mother for the nationaly syndicated Mike & Juliet Morning Show and totally shined!
- Lucca and I and my Man in Moseley may live in Lexington, Kentucky together one day. I would get to say I live in Kentucky. Which I think is pretty rad.
- I get to be moved and inspired by single parents like Matt Login and perhaps interview him, if he is interested, for a feature article in the upcoming issue Single Parent Magazine.
-
Single Parent Magazine is launching soon and its just what the doctor ordered…full of ways for single parents to feel good about themselves and embrace the happily ever now philosophy!!!

- The goofy video the awesome Alaina, of the famous Ms Single Mama blog, and I did together back in July is one of the most popular single mom vidoes on YouTube! We may need to recreate a follow-up video to Single Moms Dating on Single Moms Falling in Love. =)
- I am no longer on the Detox diet and get to fully enjoy all the doughy Pizza and hoppy beer I want.
- I feel connected to a community of really sweet human beings, like this one, and this one and this one, and this one and this one and this one.
- I am living a fairytale love.
Now, let me here from you! Tell me your top three reason to kiss the world today.

My top three…
1. I’m holding a solid A in my A&P class
2. Sunrise went poopy in the potty LOL
3. I was mentioned on one of my favoritist bloggers blogs!!!
Keep kissing the day!
WOW – Thank you for making us take a moment to be grateful! You indeed have a greeeeat deal to be thankful for; and I am honored and humbled to be a part of your links in your thankfulness. You are truly an inspiration; not only for your current love story, but also for your enlightenment you share with all you do for single moms worldwide. So for that… today I say thank you. And 2 more reasons I can kiss the world today, well… do I have to say? Kass and Jas, of course!
Aw shucks!! *blushes*
Thanks for the shout out! Like attracts like you know!!
I blogged today about how happy I am already!
1. I am happy because my soldier is happy. He comes home on leave in less than 2 months!
2. I had a week off from the kids and they are so happy to be back home. We all benefited from the break. They’re excited to be starting school and soccer this week!
3. When you’re in love, you notice love everywhere!
Remember, MSM, the source of that love is limitless. See it in everything you do, everyone you meet and every situation you encounter. Even send love to the person who sent you the “less than positive email”.
Making gratitude lists help too! Hugs!
Those are all wonderful things. It’s good to take some time to appreciate them. Also — you’re right. I hear Kentucky is pretty cool.
I’m assuming you don’t want me to list my kids. That’s my usual “easy way out” on these. Heh.
1. I got link love from you.
2. I posted something very difficult, and my head didn’t explode.
3. Coffee…although, that’s probably an “easy” one, too, since it ranks just under the kids and Bill on my list of Good Things.
I’m so touched I’m teary eyed. You have inspired me today to post what is good in my life right now, and as soon as I clear out a few boxes and give Will a bath I’m gonna do just that. Thank you so much for being a constant inspiration!
Single Mommy’s Rock.
Kentucky would be so happy to have you. You would definitely add to this Kentuckian’s list of things to be happy about.
