Oh the fun things to be done to get ready for my BIG trip!
A flight across the world to meet the man who has flipped my reality upside down in the most wonderful way… This is like the biggest thing that has happened to this single momma since….well, getting pregnant and giving birth!
I feel as giddy as a 16 year old prom queen…and just as frantic to prepare (and beautify) for the incredible event.
So here is The List:
1. Find a suitcase
2. Hair cut and color
3. Arrange babysitting for Lucca for two nights my parents are too cool to watch him (they are party-animals).
4. Brazillian wax Check! Did it today! FELT GRRREAT!
5. Airbrush tan
4. Trip to Target for travel size everything
5. New jeans
6. Pedicure
7. Acupuncture appointment (being poked with tiny needles is actually quite relaxing, really!).
8. New batteries for the video camera (no, I won’t be making that kind of video, unless I find myself having hot sex in an Aston Martin…then it would be my duty to share).
9. Download lots of new lovey-dovey- pump-you-up music to iPod, like this:
10. Buy new earphones
11. Print 100 wallet size pictures of Lucca to keep near me the whole time and show off to everyone I meet between Portland and Moseley. My son is so cool. Next trip, I’m definitely bringing him.
This boy has style!
What else am I forgetting? If I forget underwear, thats okay, becasue I’m feeling so good, au natural. What do you do to prepare for a big trip?

I’ve been here before and always meant to come back more regularly b/c of the whole single mom thing, but then I fall so behind. But I’m so excited now to keep reading this, so I’m glad I finally got my butt over here today. I just read all the posts related to this and can’t wait to see what happens. I was just watching some show on TLC about single moms dating and thought, Hmmm, I would love to read someone’s blog on that very topic (since I’ve got the single part down but not the dating part at the moment). Anyway, I’m rambling. Good luck!
Oh, and to prepare for a big trip I usually procrastinate like crazy and then freak out about how much I have to do at the last minute. Just for fun.
